What is a RISO print?
Riso is short for Risograph. It’s a Japanese printer/printing process, almost like a cross between screen printing and photocopying, using rich spot colours and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints, with little impact to our environment. The range of inks used are soy based.
What are Giclée prints?
The word Giclée (“g-clay”), is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray”, Giclée, is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper to achieve prints of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability. In ideal conditions, it is estimated that Giclée prints can remain colour fast for over 100 years.
